How it works
The science — simply explained
Wrinkle relaxers — including Botox®, Dysport®, and Juveau® — are FDA-approved purified proteins that temporarily interrupt the nerve signal that tells a muscle to contract. When the muscle rests, the skin above it smooths out. The effect is gradual (3–5 days), reaches full expression at 14 days, and naturally wears off over 3–4 months as the nerve signal returns. It is not permanent, not cumulative in the skin, and completely reversible over time.
